OMG Suzuki’s Superstock rider Billy McConnell will again step up to the Bennetts British Superbike class this weekend as he stands in for Josh Elliott who has been struck down with food poisoning.

Elliott was advised against riding this weekend, so Australian McConell will have his big boys’ pants on for the second consecutive round, this time joining Luke Mossey who is back in action following his huge Cadwell Park testing crash.

“I am gutted that I can’t be riding this weekend, but because of the dehydration I’ve been advised to rest up and not risk it,” said Elliott.

“Obviously I would love to be out there, but I trust Billy will treat the bike right and in the meantime I can focus on making sure I’m ready for Assen. Thanks to my team for putting in a shift as always and to the whole OMG Family for all your support.”
