McAMS Yamaha's Jason O'Halloran used a new swingarm during Bennetts British Superbike free practice at Oulton and will spend today fine-tuning it in concert with a suspension link.
The Australian, who is still recovering from an injured shoulder, needs to get his R1 to follow the profile of the track more, instead of fighting itself.
"We've been working through some things, we had a swingarm and link to test today. I felt pretty good with both of them but it's just taking some time to adjust the bike to suit that," said O'Halloran.
"Oulton is a difficult track anyway as there are so many undulations and bumps so we're just trying to get the bike to be a bit more smooth and follow the track a bit more. At the minute the bike is fighting itself and not recovering between the rolls in the circuit so we have to fine tune it."
