Be Wiser Ducati's Josh Brookes will make his final push for Bennetts British Superbike podium points at Oulton Park this weekend before the curtain comes down on the main 2019 season and the Showdown begins.
Brookes currently leads team-mate Scott Redding by 12 points and has two more podium credits - 40 to 38 - and wants to increase that tally over the three race this weekend, continuing where he left off at Cadwell Park.
"This is a very important round because as well as the three races, it’s the final chance to score some big Podium Points to take into the Showdown," said Brookes.
It’s also an opportunity to carry some momentum into the final three rounds if results go our way again. My plan is to continue where I left off in May and that’s to continue winning.
"I’m looking for a repeat performance and obviously my confidence is high. I feel I’m riding well, and the team are doing a great job, so we need to maintain that performance.”
Brookes won both races when BSB visited Oulton earlier in the year and is lap record holder, but he was kept honest by Tommy Bridewell and Redding now has data to add to his arsenal.
