Be Wiser Ducati’s Scott Redding got his first taste of the Oulton Park at last week’s test and said the place he will have to race in this weekend’s Bennetts British Superbike second round is ‘crazy’.
Oulton is about as far away as you can get from the wide and sweeping MotoGP tracks that Redding is used to but the Gloucestershire rider said he was happy with the times he set on his debut.
“I rode at Oulton Park for the first time last week and my first impressions were it was crazy as I’ve never ridden anywhere like that in my career,” said Redding.
But the more laps I did, the more comfortable I felt and the more I enjoyed it, but it was a mind-blowing experience.
“I was happy with my times, we did lots of laps and we have a good setting for this weekend so now I need to dig in and get some good points on the back of my Silverstone podium.”
Redding finished the test only two seconds behind team-mate and 20165 champion Josh Brookes, who himself had a one second lead over Danny Buchan at the top of the timesheet.
