Gearlink Kawasaki has announced the signing of former British Supersport Champion Luke Stapleford ahead of this weekend’s second round of the season at Oulton Park.

Following a successful test at Cadwell Park earlier this week, Stapleford will make his return to the class, working with Team Green starting this weekend.

“I’m really happy to be joining the Gearlink Kawasaki Team. I’ve raced against them for many years but have never ridden for them. Whilst it’s been a few years since I’ve raced in Supersport, it has always been my favourite type of bike to race," said Stapleford.

“I’d like to thank Michael, Ben and the whole team for the opportunity and although it’s not something that was planned, I’ll be working hard to get myself into a position to achieve the results that both myself and the team know we are capable of.

“I believe the combination of myself and Ben will be a good team with the amount of experience we both have in the Supersport class and I can’t wait to get going. I’m looking forward to being back in the paddock and heading out of pitlane for FP1.”
