Ducati’s Danilo Petrucci has admitted that after his MotoGP career is over he is thinking about returning from whence he came and re-joining the WorldSBK paddock.

Before finding success in the premier class, Petrucci was Superstock 1000 Champion and that led to a call-up from the Ioda CRT MotoGP team.

The Italian’s career then took off and he says he has not yet fulfilled his potential in the blue riband series.

«I have repeatedly said that I have not yet fulfilled my task in MotoGP. I feel that I can do it better,” said Petrucci.

“But when I have the feeling that there is no place for me in MotoGP, I think about WorldSBK. Before that, however, I want to challenge myself and understand my limit.”
