Italian MotoGP star Danilo Petrucci could be destined for Aprilia in 2021 after confirming his exit from the factory Ducati team.
Petrucci has been replaced by Australian youngster Jack Miller and it is likely he will be partnered by incumbent Andrea Dovizioso, leaving Petrucci looking for work in 2021.
"Ducati has decided not to continue our relationship. I'm sorry for this, but my objective is to stay in MotoGP and race in MotoGP. Only a year ago I was winning, so I would like to continue to win again," said Petrucci.
"I thank them for the experience, there is still this year where we can take some satisfaction, so I am confident and I hope it starts soon."
Aprilia is the logical place for Petrucci to land as the Noale team will want to off-hire Andrea Iannone as soon as possible and replace him with someone competetive for Aleix Espargaro to ride against.
