Phillip Island WorldSBK test: Krummenacher tops WorldSSP

The first day of the official WorldSSP pre-season tests was led by a former Phillip Island WorldSSP race winner, Randy Krummenacher (Bardahl Evan Bros Yamaha) from his own team-mate Federico Caricasulo.

Another potent Yamaha rider, Jules Cluzel (GMT94) was third quickest after two sessions.

The top Kawasaki Puccetti Racing rider, Lucas Mahias, was fourth as he embarks on a new role away from his previous Yamaha roles. Raffaele De Rosa (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) placed himself fifth and Hikari Okubo (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing).

Hector Barbera (Team Toth by Willirace Yamaha) was seventh and Thomas Gradinger (Kallio Racing Yamaha) eighth.

2018 season regular Corentin Perolari (GMT 94 Yamaha) was one place ahead of Isaac Vinales (Kallio Racing Yamaha). The top Honda rider was Hannes Soomer from the MPM WILSport Racedays team), in 11th place among the 24 riders on track.
