Pirro stands in for Camier at Jerez WorldSBK test

Ducati test rider Michele Pirro will stand in for the injured Leon Camier at the Jerez WorldSBK test which starts tomorrow.

Camier sustained fractures in a crash at Motorland Aragon and requires more time to heal so Pirro will stand in.

“I'm a little bit disappointed because Leon needs to improve the feeling with the bike, but his physical conditions is the most important thing,” said Barni Ducati team boss Marco Barnabo.

“That's why we decided, by common agreement, not to take risks. However, we have already planned to test new components on the bike and for this reason we decided to be on track with Michele, a rider we are very familiar with.

“I think he can show us the right way to develop the bike for Leon.”
