Rain stops play on day one of Jerez WorldSBK test

Rain in Spain stopped any meaningful work on day one of the Jerez WorldSBK test, with only a handful of laps recorded in total.

The factory Kawasaki team of Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes were due be joined by Puccetti Kawasaki newboy Tom Sykes and the works BMW team but it was only Scott Redding of the regular runners that went out.

Florian Marino did put in some time on a Kawasaki as did Sam Lowes on his Yamaha R1 practice bike.

The test continues tomorrow.
