Rea returns to Honda for 2022 Endurance campaign

Gino Rea has joined the factory F.C.C. TSR Honda team for 2022’s FIM Endurance World Championship season.

Having secured two podiums during his endurance career to date, including second at 2019's prestigious Bol d’Or, Rea returns to the Honda fold alongside Australian Josh Hook and Frenchman Mike di Meglio in their bid for glory next season.

"I am extremely happy to join the F.C.C TSR Honda Team,” Rea confirmed. “I started my career on a Honda QR50 as a kid and won my European Superstock title with Honda, so it’s a brand I’ve had great memories with.

“I have always aspired to become World Champion and now I know that I am in the team that is capable of fulfilling these ambitions. F.C.C TSR Honda is working hard to develop the new CBR1000-RR Fireblade celebrating its 30th anniversary.  I believe that we can challenge for the FIM EWC World Title in 2022!

“I competed against Mike Di Meglio and Josh Hook over the last couple of years in EWC and now it’s a great privilege to be teammates, I really look forward to working together with them to make our team as strong as possible.”

The new F.C.C. TSR Honda France trio will head to Japan and Spain for winter testing to prepare for April’s 2022 season opener at Le Mans.
