Gino Rea has split with the Bike Devil Kawasaki squad after just one Bennetts British Superbike round.

Rea was one of the winter’s first signatures but after scoring only four points at Donington Park has parted ways with Dave Tyson’s team.

“For reasons I believe affected our time on track together, I have decided to part ways with the Bike Devil Racing team following the first round of the 2020 BSB championship,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I wish them all the best for the future and thank them for the opportunity.”

Team boss Dave Tyson told bikesportnews.com: “Gino requested a meeting with us and we have agreed to mututally separate.”
