Yamaha debuted a holeshot device on at least three bikes during the final day of MotoGP testing at Sepang.
Regular riders Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales were seen leaving pitlane with the mechanism on the left-hand side of the bike.
Test rider Kohta Nozane was seen using it during a practice start as was Vinales. It is believed to work in the same way was Ducati’s, lowering the ride height to get more grip on the rear Michelin.
Like the Ducati system, it has to be mechanical as electronic devices are banned.
