Silverstone BSB: Linfoot confirmed with Bathams BMW for 2020

Bathams BMW have this morning confirmed Dan Linfoot as Richard Cooper’s replacement for the remainder of the 2020 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 season.

Linfoot’s Santander TAG Yamaha team officially pulled out of the blue riband class yesterday but agreed to allow Linfoot to persue other rides for the rest of the year.

Cooper is still recovering from an horrendous startline crash at Donington, so Linfoot will hop on his S1000RR from Silverstone onwards.

“It goes without saying that along with everyone else I wish Coopes a speedy recovery and hope he gets back racing soon. In the meantime I’m really looking forward to jumping on his bike and racing in the Superstock 1000 class,” said Linfoot.

“The Bathams bikes are always competitive, so it’s a good opportunity for me to race closer to the front again and enjoy myself. Thanks to Michael and the team for the opportunity, and especially thanks to Gary at TAG for letting me take it.”

Team owner Michael Rutter will again sit out to give enable the crew to focus solely on Linfoot’s development over the weekend.
