With three podiums in the three Bennetts British Superbike Championship races at Silverstone, Jason O’Halloran enjoyed another strong weekend at the venue but he admitted to having mixed feelings at the conclusion of proceedings.

The McAMS Yamaha rider finished a good, and close, third in every race and now sits in a more than handy fifth place after three of the six rounds but he admitted to feeling a little bit frustrated that he didn’t manage a win over the course of the weekend.
 
“It was a really strong weekend and the best I’ve had with McAMS Yamaha,” the Australian said afterwards. “I started the weekend with a third and I ended it with a third so it was a good haul of points and with Taz on the box twice as well, it was great for the team.
 
“But I can’t help admit I’m getting a bit frustrated with all these third place finishes, that’s five now this season! We obviously all want more and I desperately want to win a race but we’re all doing the best job we can.”
 
“We’re collecting good points all the time with consistent results so we’re gaining momentum all the time and have got to be happy with the weekend.”
 
O’Halloran took nine points off series leader Glenn Irwin and now sits 44 points adrift of the Honda rider with nine race to go and is looking for more of the same next time out at Oulton Park, one of his favourite UK circuits on the calendar.
 
“We’re improving the bike all the time so we’ll continue to do that and try to get stronger in each and every race. I’m really looking forward to Oulton as it’s one of my favourite tracks and after riding there last year injured, I can’t wait to get back there fully fit and see what we can do.”
