Snetterton BSB: 'Goals have changed since round one' – Ray

Buildbase Suzuki's Bradley Ray says he is ready to fight for the Bennetts British Superbike podium again this weekend at Snetterton and reckons his goals for the season have changed since winning both races at the Donington season opener.

Ray became a shock title contender after round one but says he needs to keep consistent to secure a place in the Showdown. He is 14 points behind series leader Leon Haslam and a massive 38 in front of Jason O'Halloran after serious injury put Shane Byrne out of contention this year

“I am heading to Snetterton this weekend feeling confident; we had a really good test there and our pace was strong. I feel that we have made some improvements there and during the World Superbike weekend when we wildcarded so we have taken steps forward," said Ray.

“If someone had said at the start of the season we would have had the results we have had so far and be second at this point of the championship I would have definitely taken that! What we need to do is to stay consistent because that is what is important if we want to have a place in the Showdown.

“I think my goals have changed since round one; I had a double win then a second place, so then Oulton Park didn’t feel as good after that. We have a good package though and we are ready to fight for the podium again this weekend. We need to get our head down and keep going the way we have and we should have two good races.”
