Snetterton BSB: Supersport pole for Skinner

Rory Skinner’s domination of the Quattro British Supersport Championship continued at Snetterton on Saturday morning as he claimed his second successive pole position on the Tyser Yamaha.

The 18-year old Scot was more than two seconds quicker than what he had been on Friday and he was never headed in the session, his final lap of 1’51.873s seeing him become the only rider to go beneath 1’52s.

Fellow Yamaha rider Bradley Perie (Diamond H Racing) got closest to Skinner after another strong performance although he was more than half a second adrift at the conclusion of the 25-minute session.

James Westmoreland (Gearlink Kawasaki) prevented an all-Yamaha front row for this afternoon’s ‘Sprint’ race albeit 0.812s adrift of Skinner with Lee Johnston’s strong weekend continuing as he placed fourth on the Ashcourt Racing Yamaha.

Harry Truelove (Truelove Brothers Racing Yamaha) and the returning James Rose (Ibbertson Motorsport Kawasaki) complete the second row, the latter impressing after a long absence.

Korie McGreevy, Ben Currie, Brad Jones and Alastair Seeley rounded out the top ten with the last named ending the session as the highest placed British GP2 Cup rider on the ABM Quattro machine.

That put him one place and 0.329s ahead of Mason Law (Spirit) with their respective team-mates Charlie Nesbitt and Joey Thompson close behind.
