Promotion to Bennetts British Superbike calls for Pirelli National Superstock Champion Davey Todd in 2023.
Todd’s full-time debut in the top class coincides with the return of the Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles Honda team to the premier series. The duo delivered a stunning performance during the 2022 stock season, claiming the crown with one round remaining having achieved four victories as part of their eleven podium finishes.
Celebrating championship success with a BSB wildcard for the final round of the season the 27-year-old scored a pair of 15th place finishes ahead of his full-time switch for 2023. The partnership is now looking to build on the experience next year, where they combine Bennetts BSB with their road racing campaign, something that they have also excelled at in recent years, with Superbike success on the roads, winning the Southern 100 and Armoy road races, in addition to finishing fourth in the Senior TT.
“I am super excited to re-sign with the Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles Honda team,” Todd said on the announcement. “I’ve felt right at home there this year and after winning the Superstock Championship it’s an awesome opportunity to get to move up to the Superbike class with the same team and same guys around me.
“I got to experience the Superbike class for the first time at the final round at Brands Hatch this season and we learned a lot as a team and it definitely got me excited to be there full-time next season.
“I’ve just enjoyed my racing so much this year and want to approach 2023 in the same way – I can’t wait to get going already!”
