Successful Cartagena GP2 test for Wilford

Sam Wilford has completed a successful British GP2 test at the Cartagena Pro-Test aboard the ex-Gresini Kalex Moto2 he will campaign this season.

Wilford put in 163 laps over the course of four days and will now have to wait until the official Silverstone BSB test later this month for any final adjustments.

“Another very successful test for me and the team. We are working really well with the package that we have and are making big leaps forward each time I get on the bike," said Wilford.

"It’s been great having some support from Kalex throughout the tests this winter, which has helped me get up to speed quicker.

"I now can’t wait to get out at Silverstone for the Official BSB test in a few weeks time.”

Wilford has received some technical support from Kalex while crew chief Andy Jamieson has been working on the HRC ECU, saying he found it to be more useful in some areas than he intitially thought.
