Ecstar Suzuki's Alex Rins believes the pieces are now in place for him to win some MotoGP races in 2019 after ending the Sepang test as the most consistent rider.
Rins put in more 1'59s laps on the third day than any other rider and he was also quick under one-lap conditions, setting a 1'59.180 to end the test less than a second off the pace of the all-conquering Ducatis.
“Winning a race is not easy. But I think we have the pieces for winning some races. We improved a bit more the bike than the race. For sure our package now is better than the race," said Rins, speaking at Sepang.
“But we need to keep working. We need to try new things in Qatar because here we didn’t have time. But anyway it will be interesting this championship – a lot of riders will be at the front, because the level is so high. Let’s see what happens.
“We need to analyse all the data from these three days. We did a lot of 1'59s, which is a good thing. They need to analyse so they can find something new. I’m really happy."
