Tito Rabat to replace Mossey at TAG Honda

Former Moto2 king Tito Rabat will replace the departed Luke Mossey at TAG Honda for this weekend’s Thruxton Bennetts British Superbike round.

The title winner brings a wealth of experience, having dominated with seven wins and an impressive tally of 14 podiums on his way to the crown in 2014.

Rabat also competed in MotoGP for five years before making the switch to WorldSBK. The Barcelona-based contender has also most recently been a race winner in the Spanish Superbike Championship riding for the LaGlisse Honda team.

“I’m really excited about the opportunity that the team has given me to ride in the BSB race at Thruxton with TAG Honda,” said the Spaniard.

“BSB is the best national championship in the world at the moment and to be able to take part in it in front of all the British fans who fill the circuits is an honour for me.

“I will try to do my best to make sure they enjoy the races this weekend, and although the level of the championship is very high, I will try to get a good result for Honda and the team. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at Thruxton.”
