James Westmoreland will return to the Dickies British Supersport Championship grid this weekend at Cadwell Park as the former race winner lines up with Gearlink Kawasaki for the remainder of the season.

Westmoreland has previously been a leading title contender in the class with the team and is now relishing the challenge of getting back in the mix, starting with his home round.

“I’m really pleased to announce my return to British Supersport with Gearlink Kawasaki for the remainder of the 2019 season. It was a pretty straight forward decision for me to make,” said Westmoreland.

“I first rode for Michael and Norma at the end of 2015 then in 2017 on the Superbike then continued with the team in 2018 in the Supersport class.

“I’m really excited to get back to work and there is no better than my local circuit Cadwell Park. I will work hard with the limited time to put the team and myself in the best position ready to race competitively.

“My career has taken a different path this season and I feel I’m in a really good place with everything and I’m excited to get started with my team.”
