Dickies Junior Supersport Champion to receive Norma de Bidaph Trophy

The winner of the Dickies British Junior Supersport Championship will be awarded a new trophy at the end of the 2018 season, with the announcement today at Thruxton of the Norma de Bidaph Trophy.

The late Norma de Bidaph, along with her husband Michael, have been stalwarts of the British paddock for decades, and have always offered opportunities to young riders who have then gone on to make their mark, particularly in the Supersport class.

Bennetts British Superbike Championship Series Director Stuart Higgs commented: “The Dickies British Junior Supersport class is recognised as a place to nurture young riders before they progress within the series and it is suitably fitting that a trophy in memory of Norma will be presented to the winner.

“The announcement is all the more poignant following yesterday’s great demonstration of her vision - seeing two Gearlink graduates in the Irwin brothers both qualify on the front row in BSB.”
