Alstare Ducati's Carlos Checa will not ride in today's second World Superbike race at Donington Park as his injured shoulder is causing too much discomfort.

The Spanish ex-champion struggled in the opening race, finishing 12th behind team-mate Ayrton Badovini and one place in front of Nico Canepa, who is wildcarding for the team this weekend.
