Donington WSBK: Front row the aim for Kennedy

Rivamoto's Jack Kennedy was third quickest in the final World Supersport free practice this morning, the Dubliner saying that the dry track-time was crucial for him before qualifying later this afternoon, having never rode the Honda around the Donington Park circuit.

"It was a good session for me, running in the top three for nearly all the session. It was so important to try the Honda in the dry, so we can work on setup before qualifying. I was just struggling with some rear grip issues through the last sector though, which we're looking at now. I was the quickest through all the sectors up until the final one, with the stop and go corners such as the Melbourne Loop and Goddards somewhere I must work on," said Kennedy, speaking to bikesportnews.com from the sun drenched Leicestershire circuit.

"I've not used the softest tyre yet and that's the tyre I'll put my fastest lap on so we've some work to do in the qualifying session. Another small issue I'm struggling with, is arm pump due to some new leathers, the same issue which I had at Phillip Island.

"I did the whole session by myself too, posting consistently fast laps, which is always a plus for me. The goal for this afternoon is front row and if I can get a podium on Sunday, well, it'd be a dream come true."
