Former Moto2 star Kenny Noyes has undergone a successful test with the WK Hampshire team at Silverstone and will join the Motorpoint British Supersport ranks after wildcarding in World Supersport at the Northamptonshire track in a fortnight.
American Noyes, who has a Moto2 pole position to his credit, tested on Silverstone's Arena GP track and, although a packed circuit meant meaningful laptimes were difficult, he was happy with the bike. He will test again before getting in competition during the first weekend of August.
"I'm really glad to have a rider that can challenge at the front of either series and also the bike development we have been working on all year has finally been completed. We are looking for sponsors for the rest of the season to run alongside our current sponsors WKbikes and HEL Performance," said team boss Dave Tyson.
