Michael Dunlop aiming for 2012 TT Sidecar debut

Two-time Isle of Man TT winner and roads superstar Michael Dunlop could make his Sidecar TT debut at next year's festival after a successful test at Jurby airfield with Dan Sayle in the passenger seat.

The younger Dunlop, who has Supersport and Superstock wins under his belt, went out in the rain on the airfield circuit yesterday in an outfit supplied by Nick Crowe and was joined on track by three-time world champion Tim Reeves, who rides for Crow's newly-formed team. Dunlop apparently took to the sidecar like a 'duck to water'.

“I’ve been testing, just having a look. I’m enjoying it at the minute, just seeing where we’re going. Obviously, I’ve got other things to consider. I’m at the top of my game, becoming a real good TT rider and I need to watch what I do. I’ve got my sponsors to think about too," he said.

“I’m not ruling it out, not saying yes, not saying no. We’ll have a good think about it, maybe another couple of runs.”

“I think I’m addicted to it anyway, for me it was something special. I can’t say I enjoyed it any more, I came straight off the car and there was a smile on my face.”
