Moira Club chooses Burrows as its 2012 rider

Irish roads star John Burrows has been chosen by the Moira Motorcycle Racing Club as its star rider for the 2012 season and he has been presented with an ex-Keith Amor Honda CBR600 on which to compete.

The Moira MRC, which recently celebrated 30 years of support to motorcycle racing, having backed riders with such calibre as Woolsley Coulter, Gary Dynes, Dave Leach, Andrew Neil, Gary Jess , but to name a few. Earlier in the year, the club had taken Southern rider David Lumsden on board, but unfortunately, this deal failed to materialize and the club was again on the outlook for another rider.

"I am chuffed to have been asked to ride for the Moira MRC. Before I started racing, I always admired the Moira MRC team, top class riders on good machinery, backed by an enthusiastic club. I have met up with the club and together I hope I can repay the faith they have shown in me, and I am certainly looking forward to riding the Honda. I am also honored to be riding for the club, as I was great friends with Andrew Neil, who is held in high esteem," said Burrows.
