Andreas round two: Weekend race report

Callum Collister was the dominant force in the rescheduled second round of the Isle of Man Centre Road Race Championship at Jurby Motodrome on Sunday.

The 25-year-old hospital technician won both main solo championship races after a terrific scrap with Ryan Cringle. He then added the two 600cc races for good measure on the same Martin Bullock Manxsport Honda CBR-R.
Cringle, who was given the all-clear to race after bashing himself about in a motocross seven days earlier, led both championship races until the final lap when he was out-drafted by Collister. But in his determination to grab back the lead on the penultimate corner of the second qualifier he came off his Kawasaki ZX6 and suffered more pain and anguish to his already battered body.

Dave Molyneux and Ben Binns blitzed the first sidecar race, but pulled up short in the F2 race when the Suzuki engine began to show signs of fatigue after a hectic recent schedule.
That left Darren Hope and Paul Bumfrey to win the remaining two races from Karl Bennett and Lee Cain.

Andrew Dudgeon, Derran Slous and Dean Osborne all enjoyed success in the support classes on their 650cc twins, while Brendan Fargher was the runaway winner of the two clubman races.
