Assen BSB: GBmoto and Westmoreland part company

JG Speedfit GBmoto Kawasaki rider James Westmoreland has parted company with his team after completing the opening MCE British Superbike free practice session at Assen, onboard their ZX-10R machine.

In a statement released by the GBmoto team, it stated that; “following opening free practice today at Assen, the GBmoto Racing team and James Westmoreland have agreed to part company with immediate effect. The split is entirely amicable and the whole team would like to thank James for all his hard work throughout the season.”

Westmoreland bagged his first podium in his BSB career with the team at Thruxton, and currently resides sixteenth in the overall championship standings. He took part in FP1 this morning, but crashed twice during the 45 minute session.
