Brands BSB: Law takes Stock 600 win

No Limits Kawasaki’s Mason Law maintained his Pirelli National Superstock 600 winning record after winning a scrap with Australian Ben Currie.

The race was red flagged after just one lap after a serious incident at Graham Hill Bend. Four riders were involved, with Tom Oliver and Ross Twyman walking away without injury.

However, James Puttrell and Jordy de Jonge needed trackside medical attention before being taken to the medical centre. The pair were later airlifted to hospital for further treatment.

As the race was restarted, Law once again grabbed the holeshot but CF Motorsport’s Currie tucked in behind and went with him.

The pair both took turns at leading the race but it was Law who held the advantage on the final lap.

Currie looked to force his way past at Graham Hill Bend but Law closed the door firmly, and his Kawasaki outmuscled the Yamaha of Currie in the drag to the flag.

Law heads to Oulton Park with a ten point advantage over Currie, after consecutive victories.

Stauff Academy’s Tarran Mackenzie completed the podium after a last lap move on Matt Truelove. A dive under the inside at Graham Hill was enough to secure his first podium of the year.

Haribo Triumph’s Chrissy Rouse got his season underway with a fifth place after he crashed out at Donington Park a fortnight ago.

MWR’s Andrew Irwin came through in sixth place ahead of Donington Park podium finisher Joe Francis and debutant Brad Jones.

Keenan Armstrong and James Edwards rounded out the top ten.
