FAB-Racing Yamaha’s Bradley Ray secured his sixth Dickies British Supersport win of the year and was followed home by Tarran Mackenzie, who has now extended his championship lead to, what would appear, be an insurmountable 21 points.
Came BPT Yamaha’s limped home in fifth place today but only a victory tomorrow will give him a fighting chance of lifting the trophy.
Ray hit the front early and despite not managing to break clear of the chasing pack, took the win by just under half a second.
Mackenzie had been in third for the majority of the race before slipstreaming his way past Joe Francis on the start finish straight to collect an extra four points and second place overall.
Francis had to settle for third place, but the talented teen was still pleased with putting together back-to-back podiums.
EHA Racing Yamaha’s David Allingham came home in fourth place ahead of Westmoreland. In order for a small miracle to happen tomorrow, Westmoreland must first win the race, which on today’s performance seems unlikely.
Acumen Triumph’s Luke Jones took a lonely sixth place, before EHA Yamaha’s Sam Wilford came through three tenths ahead Luke Hedger. German born Aussie Ben Currie and Ross Twyman rounded out the top ten.
