Brands BSB: Stapleford on Supersport pole

Profile Triumph’s Luke Stapleford grabbed Motorpoint British Supersport in champion style by going under his own lap record and ending 0.445 clear of James Rispoli in second.

Carrying the number one plate after clinching the title at Silverstone, Stapleford posted a 1’27.669 with the Floridian James Rispoli getting closest to him with a 1’28.114.

Closely following Rispoli was Smiths Triumph’s Jake Dixon, who rounds out the front row of the grid for this afternoon’s sprint race.

Fronting the second row of the grid is Stapleford’s Profile Triumph teammate Sam Hornsey who will sit in front of Glenn Irwin, fresh from announcing his factory Ducati Superbike ride for 2016.

CF Motorsport’s Kyle Ryde sits sixth on the grid after jumping ahead of Traction Control’s Joe Francis with his final lap.

South African Bjorn Estment sits eighth on the grid after his best qualifying performance of the year, with Luke Hedger rounding out the third row of the grid.
