Brno WorldSBK: Rinaldi leads wet opening session

Aruba Ducati wunderkind Michael Ruben Rinaldi took advantage of a drying surface at Brno to set the fastest time in this morning's opening WorldSBK practice, going almost a second quicker than Loris Baz.

Rinaldi set a 2'08.905 as a dry line appeared on all but the wettest part of the Czech Republic track with push the Althea BMW of Baz down to second place with Barni Ducati's Xavi Fores in third place a tenth behind the Frenchman.

Reigning champion Jonathan Rea led the way early doors but only completed two flying laps before sitting out the rest of the session while title rival Chaz Davies finished down in 14th place even with 12 laps on the board in a very topsy-turvy session.
