Cadwell BSB: Pressure off for happy Haslam

King of Cadwell Leon Haslam says he feels calm and happy now that the pressure is definitely off ahead of the Showdown after his double win today.

The JG Speedfit rider powered to his third double and ninth race win of the year at the Lincolnshire track, and says it feels really good to be in such a strong position at this point in the season.

“I do feel really good. The pressure is definitely off a little now. I know we’ve still got a long way to go yet, but at least for now we can just ease off a little and enjoy the run up to the Showdown.”

Haslam, who now sits on a commanding 330 points and more importantly has 53 podium credits to his name, found himself in a last lap battle with Jake Dixon, but came out on top as Dixon ran wide.

“I actually really enjoyed both races. I genuinely love riding this track and I think that helps make for good racing.

“We’ve still got a long way to go, there are still three races at Silverstone to go before the Showdown starts, but I am feeling happy and looking forward to the rest of the year.”
