Collier flies solo for EHA Racing at Cadwell Park

Joe Collier will be the sole EHA Racing combatant at Cadwell Park’s Bennetts British Superbike round this weekend.

Pirelli National Superstock team-mate Andy Reid is out with two broken wrists so Collier will be without a wingman in his attempt to take back the points lead from Keith Farmer.

“Thruxton was what I would call ‘a maintenance round’ for us, but now we can hopefully get back to challenging right at the front again, beginning this weekend at Cadwell Park. As I expected, the test went well and the RSV4 RF Aprilia really ‘liked’ and suited the nature of the tight and twisty Cadwell circuit. It leaves me in a good strong frame of mind coming into the weekend and I can’t wait to go racing,” said Collier.

A coming together between Ross Twyman and David Allingham at Thruxton means neither of the team’s Supersport bikes will be in action as the pair have broken metacarpals and ribs between them.

“Thruxton is a round, we as a team will not forget in a hurry, but then again we must take the positives out of the incidents and be thankful that both David and Ross will be fit and ready to return at Silverstone – despite the high-speed nature of the crash they were both involved in,” said team boss Gail Allingham.

“Andy Reid is obviously out now for the majority of the second part of the season and we wish him well with his recovery and hope to see him trackside very soon with the team. In Joe we remain serious title contenders in the National 1000cc Superstock class, and we will be working extremely hard with him to maintain that position this weekend at Cadwell Park.”
