Aruba Ducati’s Chaz Davies is ‘likely’ to be fit for the Laguna Seca WorldSBK round, according to his team, after consulting with a specialist.
The fractured the transverse process of his L3 veretbrae in a crash on Saturday at Misano and after being taken to Rimini Hospital, he then sought out Dr Catani.
“Chaz Davies was examined by specialist Doctor Catani with positive feedback. He will now have ongoing physiotherapy treatment with the intent - and likelihood - to race at Laguna Seca. Further physical evaluation to be conducted before round eight,” said a team statement.
Davies also suffered a contusion of the left thumb in the incident.
