Ducati boss Moore puts faith in young riders with Buchan signing

Moto Rapido Ducati team principal Steve Moore decided to put his faith in a young British rider instead of an old stager for the 2016 MCE British Superbike Championship as he rightly believes they are the future of the series.

Moore has been impressed with the raw speed of Danny Buchan in his Superstock seasons and with his two BSB podiums in 2015 and believes that with the increased support from Ducati UK and the fctory’s Corse racing arm, they will be able to do a good job.

“We had been talking to Danny for a while and I like the idea of a young British rider who has talent but needs a good team behind him. We are small and close-knit, and I think that he, being 22, will benefit from that. It is about the rider, he has to twist the throttle. He was astonishing in Superstock and got on the podium twice in his first full BSB year,” said Moore, in between bites of a posh sausage sandwich.
