Recently-crowned five-time F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton rode a specially-prepared Yamaha R1 with Alex Lowes and Michael van der Mark at Jerez over the weekend.

The works Mercedes driver was loaned the R1 by Paul Denning’s Crescent Racing after they built it in secret for the Briton.

All went swimmingly for Hamilton until he crashed, albeit unscathed, at turn five and that didn’t deter him in any way, it would seem.
