Britain’s Danny Kent and his Speed Up Moto2 tea, appear to have settled on Ohlins for the 2018 season after also trying out WP and Kayaba in pre-season testing.
Kent only had the final set of sessions at Jerez to make a choice before the Qatar opener but will travel to Losail with gold springers in the flight cases.
“We did three tests and we’ve used three different types of suspension. It’s been busy for me and bust for the team, and we’ve been a little unlucky with this final test at Jerez as we only got four dry sessions with Ohlins which means we go to Qatar with some guesswork,” said Kent, speaking at Jerez.
“The feeling that I had with the bike was quite good, we have some areas to work on but considering the track time we had I was happy with the lap and the feeling with the used tyre was good, and that is important for the race.”
