Jerez WorldSBK test: Torres hampered by crash injuries

MV Agusta newboy Jordi Torres had two productive WorldSBK test days at Jerez despite being hampered by the injuries he sustained in a whopping highside at Losail.

Torres was faster than his 2016 Superpole time at the track, putting in a 1'40.595 even though he is a little pain while riding and was also only half a second slower than Leon Camier's Superpole one time from this year.

“With my injury, I am ok because I have started to stand up and was walking, but the most important is that when I ride I don’t have any pain and it only disturbs me a little. But we put in a lot of laps to understand the MV Agusta bike and to see if I have to change my riding style, and so far everything is ok and I am happy, because I put in enough laps to understand everything," said Torres.

“This is a hard bike. Because it’s always its quiet in the entry and the exit, the electronics work better and it’s easy to get a lot of throttle on the exit. But the most important is the agility, and I have to have a lot of precision on the entry of the corners and I agree, and I am happy to enter a corner aggressively and to brake late, so I need to work to turn the corners better.”
