Knockhill BSB: Archer doubles up in Motostar class

RS Racing’s Jake Archer is the new HEL Performance British Motostar championship leader, after taking back-to-back wins at Knockhill.

The Andover based racer now has a 25 point advantage at the top of the standings from team-mate, Tom Booth-Amos, after winning both races one and two in Fife.

At first it was teenager, Storm Stacey who held the early lead, but Archer was too strong today at the Scottish circuit. But Stacey did cause a storm out on track as he was able to finish in second place in Scotland.

The youngster was locked in a fight with E15 Racing’s Eugene McManus for second, and the pair were dicing for a podium position throughout the race. But when the chequered flag appeared the Randalstown lad finished in third, followed by Taz Taylor.

Meanwhile Wilson Racing’s Max Cook continued his dominance in the Standard class, and once again clinched another win with Spaniard, Victor Rodriguez in second and young-gun, Case Moto Rapido’s Thomas Strudwick in third this afternoon.
