Pata Yamaha’s Alex Lowes has found a setting which gives extra confidence on corner exit during a private WorldSBK test at Portimao.

It has been an area where the British rider has struggled with the R1 but after two days at the Portugese track, some new electronics settings have seen an improvement.

“We worked on some electronics settings and I genuinely found a lot more confidence with corner exit,” Lowes told bikesportnews.com.

“Hopefully, it will carry on to different tracks and that will make us stronger.”
