Former World Supersport rider Luca Marconi has signed to ride for the Tsingtao MV Agusta team and will contest the Motorpoint Supersport Evo series.

Marconi had been due to race on the world stage this year but his deal didn’t come together. He met with Tsingtao team boss Dave Tyson and will line up at Donington Park with Luke Jones a team-mate.

“I’m very happy to riding with team Tsingtao MV, they give to me a big opportunity for stay on the top in 2015.A t the beginning of the season I was in World Supersport,then the deal fell apart and I was unsure what to do, then I met Dave Tyson, one of the few true racing fans who reminded me of what racing is about and made me a proposal that I could not turn down,” said Marconi.

“So I want to thank you to him, to MV and all sponsor support us on this new adventure. I’m sure of we had a very good potential. Have fun guys.”
