MotoGP Aragon: 'Jorge's wrong' - Crutchlow takes a swipe at Lorenzo

Cal Crutchlow has taken a swipe at Jorge Lorenzo following the handbags at Misano a fortnight ago and says the reigning champ needs to sort himself out before next year.

Responding to a journalist’s question about what he thought about the furore kicked up after Lorenzo was asked if he felt the pass by Valentino Rossi was aggressive last time out, Crutchlow made no secret of which side of mast his colours are nailed to.

“I laugh at the one who’s wrong, completely wrong and has no idea what he’s on about or is just being ridiculous,” he said when questioned after today’s qualifying session at Aragon.

“I’m not afraid to say it. He’s complaining about a pass, has he never passed anyone hard before? And Valentino never even passed him hard.

“It’s racing. If somebody passes you, you have to pick the bike up. Or you stay on your side and get hit. It’s your choice. It’s like pulling out at a roundabout, you know the person that’s coming towards you when you’ve pulled out, sometimes they’ve got a choice to stop or drive into you.”

Hinting that the Spaniard’s head had gone, Crutchlow stuck the knife in further by suggesting the three-time champ needs to sort himself out

“Jorge’s wrong, and I think it’s got to him a little bit because he’s not very fast this weekend, not like normal Not like his usual self.

“I hope he manages to turn it around before he gets to February, March next year because if not he’ll be really in trouble and Ducati would’ve gambled wrong again. And I’ll be even smugger.”
