Ecstar Suzuki team boss Davide Brivio has confirmed the manufacturer is in talks with Marc VDS about a satellite team for next season.
Marc VDS are looking to replace their Honda contract with one which involves much more factory support and a change would mean Suzuki get free access to current Moto2 champion Franco Morbidelli who is contracted to the Belgian outfit.
“Yeah we are talking to them and it looks like it’s going pretty well. But still, we have to wait probably until Jerez for some sort of final decision and yeah, we are talking about that," said Brivio.
"We hope to be able to get more Suzukis on the grid. VDS is very interesting, they have a great a program with the younger riders and this will also be very beneficial for us.”
