Scott Redding has denied signing a deal to replace Sam Lowes in the Aprilia MotoGP team, and says he doesn’t even know if he will be in the paddock next season.

Redding lost his Pramac Ducati seat to Jack Miller and was put firmly in the frame when it emerged this morning that Aprilia had exercised a break clause in their contract with Lowes.

“Sam’s out but it deosn’t necessarily mean that I am in. At the moment, there is nothing on paper. We have had some contact before, like with Marc VDS but at the moment there is nothing done. I am still giving everything like always to try and still show myself,” said Redding, speaking at the Red Bull Ring.

“We are still talking, it’s a bit this and a bit that. In the end, I need to make the right choice for my career and that is not a decision I will make overnight or tomorrow, or Sunday. I need to be sure what I will do and at this moment I cannot say which way I will go, or even if I am going to be around here.”
