MotoGP Brno: Pramac boss confirms ‘long-term deal’ for Kent

Pramac Ducati team boss Francesco Guidotti has today confirmed he had made runaway Moto3 leaer Danny Kent a ‘long-term’ offer to switch to MotoGP with the squad in 2016.

Guidotti didn’t revealed the length of the contract but strong rumours in the Brno paddock put the deal at three years and he will sign with Pramac, not the Ducati factory. It would mean that current Pramac rider Yonny Hernandez would move to the Avintia team and Mike Di Meglio wouldn’t let the door hit him on the way out.

“We have contact, we spoke with Danny and it is an option. He is making his decision because of course it is a big step but as a technical package it is very interesting. It is clear that if he comes he has to be convinced 100 per cent. A decision is on the way. It is a long-term agreement because a young rider than comes from Moto3 cannot be formed in one year,” said Guidotti.

“He had a short experience in Moto2 so is not inexperienced on heavy bikes. The impression we had when talking to him is he is a very committed guy. The decision is not made and there are also other options.”
