MotoGP Jerez: Marquez concerned over right-arm stress

Crocked MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez appears to be equally concerned about over-stressing his right arm in tomorrow’s race  as he is with his broken left pinkie as he is compensating for the injury.

During today’s post-qualifying press conference, Marquez said that he expects to ride more smoothly than usual in order to not cause his right arm muscles problems as he tries to control his RC213V less with his left hand.

“The left I think will not be a big problem but the consequence is I am pushing more with the right and then I stress more the muscles. It is a question mark for me. I expect to be smoother than usual and save everything for race distance,” said Marquez, who will use painkillers tomorrow.

“The main target tomorrow is to get points for the championship but if I can finish in front of him I will try, and if I can finish in front of Jorge I will try but with Jorge I think it is difficult.”

“With Valentino, we have a really similar pace, like we know on the race he is always faster so we need to pay attention to that. We will see. The first question mark for me is the physical condition, I am pushing a lot with my right arm. Maybe we arrive on lap 15 and I am finished but I will give my 100 per cent.”
