Ducati test rider Casey Stoner says he has no plans to stand-in for injured Octo Pramac man Danilo Petrucci at the upcoming Argentine MotoGP round.
Petrucci pulled out of the Qatar meeting on Friday night after his screwed-together right hand proved too painful. An X-ray revealed that one of the 12 bones broken in a Phillip Island test crash had dislocated. Stoner says he has not asked nor has been asked to ride alongside Scott Redding.
“We are just concentrating on testing. There have been no talk or plans for the future or the next races. I am a test rider, I am not filling in. There may be the option but I haven’t been asked and nor will I be, probably,” said Stoner, speaking in Qatar.
